Very good on the list of resources, James. Those primary sources from which Dante drew as he wrote the Comedy look like they’ll serve you in good stead. Veritatis Splendor is also good. You have only one secondary source, properly so called, that addresses your project idea and your primary sources – that’s Esolen’s article that you found on First Things. Check the library databases, though, just to cover your bases (hehe), and see if you can come up with another secondary source to help provide you with interpretive matter. Blessings!
